Requesting access

Ask to join an organization or to edit a workspace, what the owner and admins see, and how long a request is kept.

When you reach a workspace you cannot use, or one you can only view, you can ask the organization's owner or an admin to let you in. A workspace link someone sent you leads to the same request when you are not in the workspace yet, and so does the Fulveo Agent when it tells you it cannot work there.

Ask for access

  1. Choose Request access, or Request edit access if you can already view the workspace.
  2. Add a short message if it helps them decide, for example who you work with. It is optional.
  3. Choose Send request.

You need a Fulveo account with a confirmed email address.

You can ask each organization once at a time. While a request is waiting, asking again shows that it is already pending. Right after sending, you can choose Withdraw request to take it back.

To keep requests manageable, you can send up to 3 a day, and an organization receives up to 20 a day.

What the owner and admins see

The organization's owner and admins get an email saying someone is waiting. The email never includes your message. In Fulveo they see your name, your email address, your message and the workspace you asked from.

They approve or deny it:

  • The owner can approve you as an Admin, Member or Read only.
  • An admin can approve you as a Member or Read only.

Once approved, you join the organization with that role, and you are added to the workspace you asked from. If you were already Read only, approving you as a Member lets you edit. Anyone else already in the organization keeps their role. See Roles for what each role can do.

How long a request is kept

A request nobody decides expires after 30 days. A request that was approved, denied, withdrawn or expired is deleted 30 days after that. The privacy policy has the details.
