Boards

The Canvas tab holds your workspace's boards. The list of boards sits beside the canvas.

Create and organize boards

• Choose New board to add one. New boards are named Board 1, Board 2 and so on.
• Double-click a board's name to rename it, or choose Rename in its menu.
• Choose Duplicate in a board's menu to make a copy.
• Choose Copy link in a board's menu for the board's address. To share with someone outside the workspace, see Guests and board links.
• Choose Move to group to put a board in a group. Deleting a group keeps its boards.
• Sort the list A to Z, by most recently edited, or in your own order. In your own order, drag boards to rearrange them.
• Use Find a board to search the list.

Saving and working together

Your changes save on their own, a moment after you stop. Others on the board appear as a pointer with their first name (guests as Guest), and their changes show while you work. Undo and redo sit at the bottom left of the canvas.

Images

Images on a board are private: only people who can open the board see them. An image that cannot be shown appears as "This image could not be loaded." An image that is on no board and in no earlier version is deleted.

Comments

• Choose Add a comment at the bottom left of the canvas, then click where the comment belongs. A comment placed on an element moves with it.
• Choose a pin to read its thread and reply.
• Choose Resolve when a thread is done. Resolved pins stay faded; Reopen brings one back.
• You can delete your own comments. The organization's Owner and Admins can delete any comment.
• Everyone who can open the board can comment, Read only people included.
• On a phone you can read threads and reply. Add new comments on a larger screen.

Board history

• Choose Board history at the bottom left of the canvas to see earlier versions of the board.
• A version is kept as the board is edited, at most every 10 minutes, and before the agent changes it. Versions are kept for 90 days.
• Choose Restore to put the board back. The board as it is now is saved as a version first, so you can return to it.
• Anyone who can open the board sees its history; restoring needs edit access. History is on larger screens only.

Export a board

Choose Export canvas to download the board as a PNG image or an SVG file. With something selected, only the selection is exported.

Delete and restore a board

Choose Delete in a board's menu to move it to Trash. A workspace always keeps at least one board, so its last board cannot be deleted.

Open Trash at the bottom of the board list to restore a board or to delete it forever. A board left in Trash is deleted for good after 30 days.
