Mentions and your inbox

Type @ at the start of a word in a task comment, a task description, a board comment or a doc on a board, then pick a teammate. They find it in their Inbox.

Who you can mention

Anyone with a role in the workspace: the organization's owner and admins, and the Editors and Read only people added to it. Read only people are marked in the list. See Roles.

A guest on a share link cannot mention anyone, and cannot be mentioned. Mentioning yourself notifies nobody. One comment, description or doc can mention at most 20 people.

Your Inbox

Inbox sits in the sidebar after Planner; press Shift+I to go there. It holds the mentions of you in every workspace of the organization you are in, grouped by task, board comment or doc, with a count of the ones you have not read. On a phone, it is in the menu, and the menu button shows the count.

• Unread shows what you have not read yet, All every mention from the last 90 days.
• Choose a mention to open the exact place: the task with the comment in view, or the board with the comment open or the doc selected.
• A task or a board comment you have open on screen marks your mentions there as read, including new ones. Left open in a background browser tab, or behind the Inbox or Settings, it marks nothing until you look again. Mark all read clears the rest.
• A dot on the workspace menu means another of your organizations has mentions waiting.

The Inbox shows no words from a doc, or from a task description a guest on a share link has edited: open it to read them.

A mention leaves your Inbox when its comment is deleted, when it is edited out of the words, when its task or board goes to the Trash (it comes back if restored), or when you are removed from the workspace.

Ask the Fulveo Agent in a comment

Admins and editors can mention @Fulveo Agent in a task or board comment. It answers in the same thread, marked with who asked, and everyone who can see the thread reads it. Any change it suggests waits for your approval in your chat with it: Review in chat opens it. If it could not answer, Ask again tries once more. You can delete an answer it gave you, as you can your own comments. Each person can ask it up to 20 times an hour.

Email

Mention emails are off unless you turn them on. In Settings > Notifications, turn on Email me when someone mentions me to get one email with the mentions you have not read 10 minutes after they were made, at most one an hour. Until mention emails are being sent, the switch reads Coming soon. Your Inbox has every mention either way.
